The Story:
This non-objective original work is intuitive and defines the concept of pouring my mind, soul and heart onto a canvas.
As I layer the paint, I will have an idea in mind. But, after visiting the VanDusen Botanical Gardens in Vancouver, BC I kept envisioning the rock garden I experienced, with mossy greens and scattered flowers. This influenced this work greatly!
What stood out to me was the narrow paths that started to form with wide gaps in between the objects with each paint stroke. It was interesting, because it spoke volumes to where my soul during the painting sessions. I was veering towards the narrow path, spiritually speaking.
Though it may have seemed like the difficult path to take and harder to get to each stepping stone-as in the painting and my own personal journey-there is a subtle light under each of the stones-just enough for me to see making it easier as I walked the narrow path.
May you too find the path in this painting invigorating and soul moving.
