The Story:

This original abstract painting was created intuitively, although I can see how a beautifully clear lake near where we live influenced this work.

After climbing to the top of the mountain where a glacier-fed lake resides in solitude, I was caught up with it's emerald, jewel-like enigma.

I quickly dipped my feet in the still and very cold body of water to refresh my soul and breath in the clean air. The fresh water invigorated me, while putting me at ease and peace.

I watched my husband perched on top a rock admiring the mountains, my one son lowered his fishing lure to find his catch while the other children explored and laughed, dipping their hands into the crystal waters.

I loved that moment wishing it to stand still, never to be forgotten.

Obviously my heart did not want to let it go either and thus, this painting was born.

I hope this work brings you to a place of serenity and joy as it had for me and my family.
