The Story:
This original abstract painting resulted in an ebb and flow of finding peace during one of the most difficult, darkest, and challenging days I've ever experienced.
I was in search of something familiar, but not felt it in a long time. A kind of peace which surpasses all understanding.
An endless quiet.
A sense of complete serenity.
Breaking away all noise amidst chaos and confusion to be still, silent, loved.
Then, it was there.
It emerged in the form of brushstrokes that I could feel with intensity. Its comforting colours carefully layered over a chaos of brilliant marks and daring contrasts. Invoking a sense of depth and character, carving itself out peacefully like a river.
Once the piece was finished I breathed a breathe of fresh air knowing I once again could sense the peace my heart ached for, the light in my dark tunnel. I was beginning to find my path home. Hopefully this painting invokes such a journey in you as well.
