The Story:
This original abstract painting was created with a modern, impressionistic style, heavily influenced by a beautifully manicured botanical garden.
We frequent the BC Children's Hospital often for my one son and nearby the hospital is an incredible garden called, "The VanDusen Botanical Gardens." One day I noticed it driving home and it was like I discovered the Secret Garden book all over again!
My son has been a nature loving baby from his toddler years and on this particular trip, I knew he would be facing some difficult tests, so I surprised him with a visit to the gardens.
He was so overjoyed and the laughter, awe and beauty of that day was captured in this painting.
I hope this work brings you to a place of serenity, beauty, and joy as it had for me and my son.
