The Story:
As I was attempting this piece, my husband was playing a song downstairs from my very small studio corner.
It had an extremely catchy hook.
"I got the juice now...I got the juice now," played over and over in my ear like candy and took over my brushstrokes, markings, drips, splatters, colours and smears, creating a form of the song in non objective art.
It was soothing just to allow the brush to go where it pleased and almost...not think...letting the rhythm, beat and melody decide on colours, composition, values, etc. It was adventurous, fun and juicy. The song made its mark on my soul and the canvas where I poured it out onto.
